The manufactured of Glass Block is carried out by means of a process of molding in a pressure chamber of molten glass.
That is how we obtain one of the two halves which compound Glass Block, which in the continuos process, still in a state of semi-fusion, fuse together. The high temperature at which his process is carried out, makes the air inside the Glass Block be extremely dry and of low density.
This fact:
- Avoids condensations inside the glass
- When it cools down the air pressure is very low and so, the Glass Block becomes a bad heat and sound transmitters
The dosage of raw materials and the whole control of the process of manufacture is done by means of an automatic systems, controlled by computer, which assures a high and uniform quality in the finished product.
After the quality controls and before the packing, the borders of the Glass Block are painted in white, giving a well-finished product. | |
