Double - Glazing Soundproofing

The degree of soundproofing with double-glazing is measured depending on the way it reacts when the noise waves produce vibrations on it.

The higher the inertia of the system, the better, the degree of soundproofing.

In order to build the glazing right, some simple rules must be observed, since in the double-glazing, soundproofing is also a problem of mass.

Thicker pieces improve soundproofing, but what is really important is the fact that the two glasses have a different thickness. The bigger is that difference of thickness, the better is the soundproofing. Soundproofing improves when the distance between the two glasses increases. That is why Isolar AKUSTEX glazing has a distance between glasses, which is longer to other ISOLAR glazing.

For sound proofing in windows and facades, it doesn't matter the order in which we set the glasses, which compound ISOLAR AKUSTEX.

What is really important for that is that woodwork and installation fulfil the technic demands required.
