Multipact - C and D

The testing methods of the German regulation DIN52290-2, measure the degree of protection from class C1 to C5, depending on the different firearms, calibers and other characteristics that explain the amount of energy of the missile when it reaches the glazing.

In the test three projectiles are shot to the glazing and none of them must drill it. Apart from that in the classification we also differentiate between "with pieces of glass removed" C-SA, and "without pieces of glass removed" C-SF.

All security glasses Isolar Multipact bullet-proof of classes C1-SA and C5-SF have been tested according to the German regulation DIN 52290-2.

ISOLAR MULTIPACT-C is recommended to military and police premises, to the protection of people who may suffer terrorist attacks, to banks and box offices exposed to robbery, etc.

Terrorist attacks with bombs against national and financial institutions are not unusual. With the test, which follows the German regulation DIN 52290-5, the shock waves created by the explosion of a bomb are simulated. After the test, from three glazings placed in the pressure tube, the one which classes the room there must remain.

According to the intensity and duration of the shock waves of pressure, the glazings are classified as follows:

- D1 shock waves 0,5 bar + 5% for at least of 12 minutes.
- D2 shock waves 1,0 bar + 5% for at least of 10 minutes.
- D3 shock waves 2,0 bar + -5% for at least of 8 minutes.
