The process consists in enamelling one of the sides of a piece of glass with a special enamel. The finishes product, the Tempering-Pack, is a glass completely opaque, which seen from the side opposite to the painted one, looks like a polished stone because the layer is perfectly fixed to the glass and it can be exposed to the sun without risk of break due to thermal reasons.

The enamelled side must be considered only functional, that is, it's only purpose is to provide to Tempering-Pack, the colour we will see from outside the building, that is why this surface to which we have enamelled can't be used as an interior rivet.

In any case, between the Tempering-Pack and the interior of the building, there must be an adequate system to achieve the insulation demanded by the project, apart from reaching an ornamental well-finished product. Tempering-Pack can be manufactured in many colours of paint, over float colourless glass or colourful and also over printed glass, obtaining a wide range of possibilities.

The Silk screen printing is closely related to Tempering-Pack. The process is similar, changing that the enamelling isn't applied in the whole surface, so a part remains transparent, by means of a screen of silk in which appear the shapes of this parts that remain without enamel, so we can draw whatever we want, even in many colours, repeating the process.

In the silk screen printing, we can use opaque or translucent paints, which increases the number of possibilities immensely, becoming very useful for architects and decorators. The fields in which we can use the silk screen printing over glass are innumerable such as:

• Decoration of bath screens
• Institutional signs or corporate image signs
• Decorated glass for facades
• Street furniture
• Division of space
• Panelling
• Electrical appliances (ovens, cooking tops.....)
